Biur is a village located in the Chainpur block of Kaimur district, Bihar, approximately 5 km from Chainpur and 13 km from the district headquarters, Bhabua.
Description
[edit]According to the 2011 Census, the village had a population of 2,605, with 1,350 males and 1,255 females. Governed by the Biur Manpur Gram Panchayat, Biur falls under the Chainpur Assembly constituency and the Sasaram Parliamentary constituency. The village is known for its rural charm and serves as an administrative hub for local governance in the area. It continues to play a significant role in the socio-political landscape of Kaimur district. Most of the people living in the village are Pathans and Khanzadas who originally established it.[1][2][3]
