Bangkok Summer is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language action drama film directed by Pramod Pappan Team. It features Unni Mukundan, Rahul Madhav, and Richa Panai. The main themes of the movie are love, betrayal, money and race. The film was released to highly negative reviews.
Plot
[edit]The film tells the story of Shrihari who, in search of his brother Madavan, makes it to Bangkok. In the middle of this search, Shrihari has to face many problems and struggles.

Production
[edit]Unni Mukundan a.k.a. Jayakrishnan and Rahul, who is a model in the Brooke bond ads, are the central characters. The heroine is Richa Panai, who is the girl in the Bhima commercial and several Chinese actors are also acting in this big budget picture. The film started production in August 2010 in Bangkok. Most of the film was shot in Bangkok.[1][2]
Reception
[edit]A critic from Rediff.com rated the film one out of five stars and wrote that "The promos of Bangkok Summer promised something much better than the torture one has to endure.".[3] A critic from Nowrunning gave the film the same rating and wrote that "There is nothing exciting about this pumped up action adventure that holds the viewers hostage for an odd couple of hours and more".[4]
