Aspergillus miraensis is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus. It is from the Nidulantes section.[2] The species was first described in 2016.[1] It has been isolated from roots of Polygonum macrophyllum var. stenophyllum, in Tibet, China.[2] It has been reported to produce aflatoxin B1.[2]
Growth and morphology
[edit]A. miraensis has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
