Ashton Gillotte is an American college football defensive end for the Louisville Cardinals.

Early life

Gillotte was born in Ohio and moved to Florida when he was three years old after his parents were divorced. He and his mother would settle in Boca Raton, Florida when he was in the sixth grade.[1] Gillotte would attend Boca Raton Community High School. As a senior in 2020, he was the Sun Sentinel's Palm Beach County 8A-6A defensive player of the year after recording 55 tackles and 10 sacks in seven games.[2] He committed to the University of Louisville to play college football.[3][4][5]

College career

As a true freshman at Louisville in 2021, Gillotte played in 12 games and had 19 tackles and four sacks.[6] As a sophomore in 2022, he started 12 games, recording 24 tackles and seven sacks. He returned to Louisville as a starter his junior year in 2023.[7]
