Arvell Reese (born August 30, 2005)[1] is an American college football linebacker for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Early life

[edit]

Reese attended Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He was rated as a four-star recruit and held offers from schools such as Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State.[2][3] Ultimately, Reese committed to play college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.[4][5]

College career

[edit]

In first collegiate season in 2023, Reese only appeared in six games due to a concussion, recording no statistics.[6][7] In week one of the 2024 season, he notched four tackles with one being for a loss, in a win over Akron.[8] In week nine, Reese recorded two tackles but was ejected due to a questionable targeting call late in the fourth quarter against Nebraska.[9][10] After the game, Ohio State appealed the call, which was later overturned, lifting Reese's suspension for the Buckeyes' matchup versus Penn State.[11]
