Arunachal Pradesh University (APU), is a State university[1] located at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, It is the state's sole state university, was established on July 1, 2022. It can award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956, offering courses through its departments, constituent colleges, and affiliated colleges, with necessary approvals.[2] Then-Chief Minister Nabam Tuki laid the foundation stone on January 11, 2013.[citation needed]

Department

The university offers five postgraduate courses in Commerce, Education, Economics, Social Work, and Tribal Studies, aimed at fostering socio-economic development and promoting the cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh. The university plans to introduce more postgraduate courses to nurture intellectuals who can empower society through their knowledge.[3][4]
