Overview
[edit]This series is about a rebellious cop, Arjun Rawte who has been transferred to the Emergency Task Force (ETF), with the hope of nabbing Sikandar. Arjun, a fun-loving and caring guy who changed completely after witnessing the brutal murder of his wife in front of him. This made him start living a reclusive life. Sikandar had murdered his beloved wife, Roshni on their Anniversary night. Being drugged and beaten by the former, Arjun could do nothing rather than witness her dying before his eyes. Since then for the past two years he is on the quest of bringing justice to his wife by finding her killer who the department refused to believe existed.
The ETF team initially included ETF Chief ACP Sameer Rathod, ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte, 2nd in command, Riya Mukherjee, a research specialist, Shreekant Sen aka Shree, the technical expert and Commando Chandrakant Patil, fondly called Chotu.
Arjun and Sameer were best friends since their academic days. It was Sameer who played cupid in Arjun's and Roshni’s love story by giving Roshni Arjun's home address when he was on a mission. But after Roshni's death their relationship soured. Sameer never believed in Sikandar’s existence and blamed Arjun for the latter's death as he had loved Roshni like his own younger sister and bestfriend. Though he may hate Arjun to the core but his care for the latter still remains the same.
The show deals with crimes such as human trafficking, organ trade, kidnapping murder, and honour killing. Arjun helped Riya overcome her fear of shooting due to which she earned immense respect for him and admired his way of solving every case.He After continuously belittling her and telling her to go back to the research desk as a statistical analyst, Arjun realized her true potential when she swallowed a virus to save the entire city. She declared her dedication for her duty and breathed her last. Throughout the journey of solving cases and fighting against crime, Arjun seemed softening towards Riya. He used to be least rude with her and tried to help her improve her skills and courage to shoot and handle criminals. He was seen putting himself Infront of danger to provoke Riya and make her shoot a goon.
During a college student's disappearance, the team meets Ayesha Kapoor, as Nadiya who was working undercover on a drug racket case. Getting her cover blown, the DIG assigns her to ETF as an ‘guns and ammunition expert’, and over time she forms a special bond with Sameer. ETF has some good news, where Lisa D'Cruz, a forensic expert joins the team under DIG's suggestion, where it is found that Lisa was a rival of Shree during college days, who always fought with him for the first position. She calls Shree "Specky Sen" and fights with him a lot. She became good friends with Ayesha. Under the order of the Home Minister, that the ETF does indeed solve many cases, but due to them not having enough coverage, the people are losing their trust in the police, so he assigned Sakshi, a criminal journalist, to publicise their actions. Because of her happy-go lucky attitude, she had altercations with Arjun right from the first day. She seemed to have a crush on Arjun but Arjun never let anyone break the walls of his heart after Roshni.
Sameer and Shree are transferred. Arjun loses his team, Chotu, Ayesha, Lisa and Sakshi in a bomb blast before his eyes. The entire department held Arjun responsible for the tragedy and arrested him after which he proved himself innocent. Arjun is torn between right and wrong, revenge and love, heart and mind, body and soul.
Devastated that the department failed to recognise him, Arjun resigns from the police force and works undercover along with Karan Hooda aka “Robin Hood” a garage mechanic, Simran, an actress, and Anjali, a tech-savvy kid to solve crimes in the neighbourhood.
The show ended with Sameer and Arjun reuniting and beginning the quest of finding "Sikander".
