Arenga westerhoutii is a single-stemmed, evergreen palm found in tropical rainforest.[2][3][4] It grows up to 12 meters tall[5] and is one of the largest species in the genus Arenga.[6] The unbranched stem is about 40cms in diameter. The palm has ornamental value. It is distributed in Bangladesh,[7] India (Assam), Cambodia, East Himalaya, Laos, Malaya, Myanmar, and Thailand.[8]
