Aparichita (1969 film)

Aparichita is a Bengali multi-starrer drama film directed by Salil Dutta based on a novel of Samaresh Basu[1][2] which in turn was inspired by The Idiot of Fyodor Dostoyevsky.[3] It was released on 5 December 1969 under the banner of R.D. Productions.[4][5] Uttam Kumar-Aparna Sen pair first appeared in this film.[6]

Plot

Politician Priyanath forces Sunita into prostitution. She is abducted by the gangster Ranjan but later gets involved and falls in love with Sujit. Sujit, just recovered from a mental breakdown also gets involved with Sunita. While Sunita is going to marry Sujit, Ranjan kills Sunita.[7]
