Anil Kurmachalam (born 8 March 1979) is an Indian politician who is the former chairman for Film Development Corporation (FDC) of Telangana.[2]

He was the founder president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi NRI Cell (NRI TRS)[3] and Telangana Association of United Kingdom (TAUK).[4]

Political career

Anil Kurmachalam started his political career with Telangana Rashtra Samithi in 2001 and he was in to separate Telangana State Movement. He landed in UK in 2009 and gathered like minded Telangana NRIs in UK and formed the first NRI chapter of TRS party in 2010 and served as its Founder President and had actively organized and lead a peaceful demonstrations in front of the Indian High Commission to UK, London, near Gandhi Statue Tavistock Square. Anil organized different events to showcase the solidarity to the ongoing events in Telangana and to build pressure on the then Central Govt of India. He campaigns for BRS party along with other NRIs in different parts of the State.[5]

Anil Kurmachalam was appointed as chairman of Telangana State Film and Television Theatre Development Corporation Limited by Telangana government on 22 June 2022[6] and served office till 3 December 2023.[7]
