Ali Uzair Mahmood (born 14 October 1996) is a Pakistani professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for WAPDA and the Pakistan national team.[1]
Club career
[edit]Ali Uzair starting playing in 2018 for WAPDA in the Pakistan Premier League.[2]
In 2022, Uzair played for Larkana Leopards in the Sindh Super League, a franchise-based football league held in the province of Sindh.[3] He helped the team finishing as champions after winning against Lyari Fighters by 0–1 in the final. Uzair was subsequently declared player of the tournament.[3]
International career
[edit]Ali Uzair left for Cambodia to play the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.[4] He debuted for Pakistan national football team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Cambodia on 6 June 2019, coming on as a half-time substitution for Navid Rehman.
