Alexandros Avlonitis is a Greek politician who is a member of the Hellenic Parliament. Avlonitis, representative of the Corfu constituency, was first elected MP in the 2019 elections with Syriza and was re-elected in May and June 2023. [1]
In November 2024, in the midst of the crisis that erupted during the internal elections for the party's presidency, he resigned and became an independent, protesting against the undemocratic procedures followed in the election of delegates.[2] [3] After a few days he joined the new party of Stefanos Kasselakis, Movement for Democracy as one of the founding members.[4]
