Ajqan (Persian: اجقان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Zorqabad Rural District of Zorqabad District, Esfarayen County, North Khorasan province, Iran.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Rezqabad.[5]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 513 in 139 households, when it was in the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 396 people in 127 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 279 people in 101 households.[2]
In 2023, the rural district was separated from the district in the formation of Zorqabad District.[4]
