The larvae feed on Doronicum, Senecio doria, Senecio doronicum, Senecio fluviatilis, Senecio nemorensis and Senecio ovatus. They initially mine the leaves of their host plant. Pupation takes place outside of the mine.[2] Larvae can be found from May to July.
