6th Amphibious Division
The 6th Amphibious Division of the Nigerian Army is a unit based out of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. It serves to organize and improve its internal security operations in four states of the Niger Delta, to include its home Rivers State, that make up the South South geographic region.[1] It operational with effect from the 7 November 2016.[2] The first General Officer Commanding the division was Major-General K. I. Abdulkarim.[3]
