Toby Aaron Hamilton (born 16 July, 2001), known professionally as 6arelyhuman (pronounced "Barely Human"), is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. He is mostly known for creating his songs including "Hands Up!", "XOXO (Kisses Hugs)", "GMFU" with Odetari, and other hits.

Career

[edit]

Hamilton came to prominence through edits he made of old Japanese anime music videos on YouTube.[1] The first track released under 6arelyhuman name was “Need A Semi”. It was also his last track with WHERSWANDO, with none of their collabs being available to listen to. In 2021, he released "Pretty Lil Bitch" using the name 6arelyhuman. Hamiltion would start making music in the genres of Hyperpop and Trap, with his first EP being 2deep, released on September 9, 2021, containing 4 features with ljp2900. The EP would be removed later on, though re-uploaded after the removal. On September 18, 2021, 6arelyhuman released a track which would experiment with a new style different from past songs, “Luv my drugz”, and it would be the first song to feature the style that 6arelyhuman often uses in their newest songs.

With his friends who are also EDM / Scene (subculture) Artists (syris and skypebf) he founded the collective Fabfantasy. FabFantasy is a group of artists who is popular for their emo-inspired nostalgic music and alternative art. The Song Death City (featuring Syris) was one of his first hits and became really popular on tiktok among the alternative community. References to the song’s popularity would appear later in “Disgusting”. After his Song Disgusting, which was his personally fav at the moment he became confident in creating more music. He released the Album Cyberspace This album serves as a representation of the music that 6arelyhuman makes, featuring all of his then-popular tracks representing his own genre Sassy Scene. This album suddenly appeared on all streaming platforms September 1, 2022, but later, for unknown reasons, in the winter of 2022 it has completely removed from all streaming services. [1]

Hamilition would drop the track “XOXO (Kisses Hugs)” on September 19, 2022, which instantly took off on TikTok and Spotify, the plays grew by leaps and bounds, and would gain over a million plays on Spotify and Soundcloud. The Scene Community loved him for his interpretation of the subculture, good vibes of that and fashion choices, later he was suddendly cancelled for allegedly glorifying self-harm or copying Jeffree Star who should have done the same thing in 2007. His Fans the "slaybots" remain loyal to him anyways.

On October 20, 2022, 6arelyhuman released his 2nd EP Divinity, which consists of 5 tracks produced by Wydsonni. All the tracks in the EP featured completely different styles from songs that had been released previously. 6arelyhuman had also said many times that he was proud of this EP, especially the track “Non-Binary Jesus”.

Hamilton released "Hands Up! featuring Kets4eki and Pixel Hood in 2022. The song became his first to chart on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, reaching number 14. He released his debut studio album, Sassy Scene, on March 3, 2023. The reason for that might be Song Hands Up really had this nostalgic vibe who everyone loved at the moment.

Hamilton also collaborated with Odetari on the song "GMFU", a top-5 hit on the chart. It also reached number 23 on New Zealand Music Chart, his only chart debut.[3]

On February 28, 2024, Hamilton released "Faster n Harder". The song is known as the fan-made anthem from the character, Angel Dust, from the adult animated musical comedy television series, Hazbin Hotel.

3 months afterwards, he released the ‘Mega Mix’ version of Faster n Harder, including Asteria, Tara Yummy, and kets4eki. He went on Tour in Europe and announced a world tour soon after this.

Hamilton has collaborated with BJ Lips on the song ‘Love Potions.’
