Qualifying for the 2027 Rugby World Cup for Europe will commence on 1 February 2025, with eight teams competing for four qualification spots (Europe 1, 2, 3, 4) and one spot (Europe 5) in the Final Qualification Tournament.[1]

Format

The 2025 Rugby Europe Championship, governed by Rugby Europe, will act as the regional qualification tournament for Rugby World Cup 2027, with the competing eight sides grouped into two pools of four. The first phase will see the top 2 sides from each pool qualify for the World Cup, with the second phase made up of semi-finals, third-match final and the final determining the seeding for the World Cup. Whilst the Fifth-place final will see the fifth ranked side advance to the Final Qualification Tournament.
