The 2025 Hawthorn Football Club season will be the club's 101st season in the Australian Football League and 124th overall, the 26th season playing home games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the 25th season playing home games at the University of Tasmania Stadium and the 4th season under head coach Sam Mitchell,[1] and the 3rd season with James Sicily as captain.

Club summary

The 2025 AFL season will be the 129th season of the VFL/AFL competition since its inception in 1897; having entered the competition in 1925, will be the 101st season contested by the Hawthorn Football Club. Tasmania, and Nissan continue as the two of the club's three major sponsors, as they have done since 2006, and 2019 respectively, with Superhero replacing iiNet as the third major sponsor.[2] while ISC will continue as the club's manufacturer of its on-and-off field apparel as they have done since 2023.[3][4] Hawthorn will continue its alignment with the Box Hill Hawks Football Club in the Victorian Football League, allowing Hawthorn-listed players to play with the Box Hill Hawks when not selected in AFL matches.
