The tournament will serve as the Asian qualifier for the 2025 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, with the five highest-ranked teams, not already qualified, qualifying.[4]India are the defending champions.
The five highest-ranked teams from the 2023 Junior Asia Cup qualified directly for this edition. The other teams participated in the 2024 Women's Junior AHF Cup, where the top five qualified for the 2024 Junior Asia Cup.[5]
