Sports season
The 2024 Pac-12 Conference football season is the 46th season of Pac-12 football, and takes place during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season . The season began on August 31, 2024.[ 1] Every member school aside Oregon State and Washington State moved to a different conference. Former members UCLA , USC , Oregon , and Washington moved to the Big Ten . Arizona , Arizona State , Utah , and Colorado moved to the Big 12 . Stanford and Cal moved to the ACC .[ 2]
On December 5, 2023, it was announced that Oregon State and Washington State had entered into a football alliance with the Mountain West Conference (MWC) for the 2024 season. With the alliance, both programs will play 3 home games and 3 away games against MWC opponents.[ 3]
The Washington Huskies defeated the Oregon Ducks 34–31 in the 2023 Pac-12 Football Championship Game .
Washington defeated Texas 37–31 in the 2024 Sugar Bowl before losing to undefeated Michigan 34–13 in the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship .
The CW and Fox Sports will broadcast every Pac-12 home game nationally.[ 4]

On November 28, 2023, Oregon State named Trent Bray as head coach replacing Jonathan Smith who accepted the same position at Michigan State .[ 9]
