2 38 Ajay Mitchell PG Belgium Belgium UC Santa Barbara

The Knicks entered the draft (which was two days long instead of one as it had been since the NBA draft was shortened to two rounds in 1989) with two first-round picks and one second-round pick.[1][2] They acquired an additional second-round pick in a trade following the completion of the first round.[3]
