Due to the stadium's unavailability at that time, initially, the BFU moved the game to Levski's home venue, the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium, to be played without the presence of away fans.[25] However, following CSKA's appeal, the BFU made the final decision to swap matchdays 8 and 12 in order to allow the game to be played at the national stadium with both sets of fans present, and therefore it was pushed back to mid-October.[24]
