The 2024–25 Columbus Blue Jackets season is the 25th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 25, 1997. This will mark the first season for the franchise since the 2021–22 campaign without star player Johnny Gaudreau, who, along with his brother Matthew, were killed while riding their bikes on August 29, 2024, after being hit from behind by a suspected drunk driver. The team is expected to dedicate the season in his memory.
