The 2023–24 Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Charlotte during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The 49ers, led by 13th-year head coach Cara Consuegra, playes their home games at Dale F. Halton Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina as first year members of the American Athletic Conference.

Previous season

The 49ers finished the 2022–23 season 12–19, 7–13 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for eighth place.[1] As the #9 seed in the C-USA tournament, they defeated #8 seed FIU in the first round,[2] before falling to top seed and eventual tournament champions Middle Tennessee in the quarterfinals.[3] This was the 49ers' final season as members of Conference USA, as they moved to the American Athletic Conference effective July 1, 2023.[4]
