- The conditions of this pick were Pittsburgh will receive Tampa Bay’s third-round pick if Tampa Bay is able to sign Malone or they will receive a fourth-round pick in the 2009 Entry Draft, if Tampa Bay is not able to sign Malone. The condition of a third-round pick was met when Malone signed with Tampa Bay on June 30, 2008.
