The 2003 New England Revolution season was the ninth season for the New England Revolution both as a club and in Major League Soccer (MLS). The club reached the playoffs after finishing second in the Eastern conference. The club was eliminated in the final of the 2002 MLS Cup. Additionally, they participated in the CONCACAF Champions Cup for the first time in their history, where they were eliminated in the round of 16 against Liga Deportiva Alajuelense. Additionally, they reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup.[1]
