Relegation
[edit]The four worst placed teams in each one of the groups C and D in the first stage, which are Ceará, Santa Cruz, Goiás, Fortaleza, América-MG, Coritiba, Atlético Paranaense and Desportiva, were relegated to the following year's second level.
