The 1987 North Hertfordshire District Council election was held on 7 May 1987, at the same time as other local elections across England and Wales. There were 17 out of 50 seats on North Hertfordshire District Council up for election, being the usual third of the council.[1]
The Conservatives retained their narrow majority on the council.[2]
