Men's hammer throw
at the European Athletics Championships

The men's hammer throw at the 1978 European Athletics Championships was held in Prague, then Czechoslovakia, at Stadion Evžena Rošického on 1 and 2 September 1978.[1]

The winning margin was 4 cm. With the conclusion of the 2024 championships, this remains the narrowest winning margin in the men's hammer throw at these championships.
