Wood nymph is another term for a dryad in Ancient Greek mythology.
The term has also been applied to various animals:
- Woodnymphs (Thalurania, a hummingbird genus from tropical America)
- Cercyonis (North American wood-nymphs, a brush-footed butterfly genus)
