List of steps requested

[edit]

A highly-experienced editor and respected active admin has requested the following steps to be implemented for this page. Please feel free to do so; i.e. please feel free to set up any of the steps, resources, or structures suggested below. thanks! --Sm8900 (talk) 16:52, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • List of suggested steps:
    • An introductory statement with guidance how to proceed, and an exhortation to 'adopt' a page to enhance;
    • A list of links to each sandbox page (no need to link to pages with no retrievable content);
    • A summary of the contents of retrievable pages, and their apparent readiness/work still needed;
    • A space for editors to indicate if they're going to 'adopt' and work on a page, and where that will be located.
    • An indication of when each page has been dealt with and moved to mainspace.

Comments on the above

[edit]

If you wish, you can use this section for any comments or discussion on the steps suggested above. thanks.

For now, the only step taken with the suggested steps and resources above, has been to provide a redirect to the drafts listed, i.e. to provide a title which is much more illuminating as to the contents and topic of each draft mentioned in each list. other editors are free to work on these as they may wish. thanks.--Sm8900 (talk) 16:52, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

created table format for list of drafts for User:Brianboulton. this should be highly conducive to getting closer to the points and steps suggested above. the table format includes a column where editors can list their names as wishing to work on a draft. it also provides a column for the disposition for each draft, and for any notes or data desired to address the editing, contents or nature of each draft. I hope that's helpful. thanks. --Sm8900 (talk) 17:22, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
by the way, this editor was specifically requested elsewhere in some project space "NOT to take on any more self-appointed 'sorting out the world' projects here until you've dealt with the current ones you're working on." as this one has now been formatted fully in full keeping with the helpful points, suggestions, and recommendations specified above, this editor will now take on further projects, as and when the need may arise. I do appreciate the highly valuable ideas and collaborative input offered by everyone here. the recommendations above are indeed are very helpful, and helped us perceive how best to format and structure the materials and processes and guidelines for this, going forward. to all offering their insights, thanks very much!! --Sm8900 (talk) 17:22, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
oops, scratch that, now I have written an exhortation of sorts; you can read it at the page Wikipedia:Village pump (idea lab)/Archive 31#new resource created. re the ideas above, thanks. we do truly appreciate your input and insights. thanks! --Sm8900 (talk) 17:44, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
