- Hip hop music is the perfect article for the members of the project to work on for elevation to FA status. But it should be a long-term goal. It takes quite a while for an article to work its way through the system, and writing a comprehensive, well-sourced article in prose that approaches genius is a hefty task. Since we are in the beginning stages of the project, why don't we focus on a more mundane task, such as tagging all the appropriate articles or identifying articles that have the potential to become FAs? We are joking ourselves if we think we can raise every article covered by the project to featured status (as the current template reads). Some of them will just never have enough material. But there are some topics that have enough written on them that they definitely could be. I'll refrain from voting now. I just wanted to add my two cents. I know we are all eager to see progress, but these things take time. There are a lot of people ssigned up, why not start with simpler tasks like proofreading and making sure every article has at least one category?--Rockero 07:15, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- What do you mean long-term goal? The article is a previous FA, and is close to reaching its lost status. So it wont take too much work to get it featured again compared to a stub. I nominated it because it's one of the most essential article of the project. Regarding the template, I understand that some article have very limited information available regarding their subject matter, but we not going to give up on them. Even if they dont reach featured status we still should try to improve them as much as possible. Tutmosis 18:12, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
