In honor of African women, especially women of Nigerian descent, Wikimedia UG Nigeria in collaboration with Bestspring Foundation, Goethe Institut and WikiAfrica will be co-hosting Wiki Loves Women in Nigeria.The event is conceptualized to improve the coverage of women on wikipedia and her related projects. Wiki Loves Women Edit-a-Thon 2016

Goals

To make a substantive improvement to the representation of Nigerian women on Wikipedia
To encourage the Nigerian women community to learn how to contribute to Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Projects.

Wiki Loves Women’s Partners

Participation details

When: Monday, October 10th 2016; 9:00am – 4:00pm

Who: Wikipedians; Interested member of the society; No advanced technical skills required – those with experience will help

What to bring: Laptop computer with power cable; If you’ve been part of the data-gathering exercise leading up to the edit-a-thon, bring your files and photos; If you have not been part of the preparatory research work, there will be an ambitious task list for you to work on.
