Welcome to the WikiProject Translation Studies.

Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to translation studies. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there.

For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProjects and Wikipedia:WikiProject best practices.

Scope

[edit]

The purpose of the Translation Studies project is a large-scale initiative that simplifies and standardizes pages for all about Translation studies, improves the information available for past events and works to provide better information for all future events. In addition, the project also improves and simplifies pages for general Translation studies.

General topics

[edit]

Goals

[edit]

To expand, improve, and spread knowledge about Translation Studies, raising awareness about the importance of this vital interdiscipline that has helped contact among cultures and peoples along the history of mankind.

Although it may be an autonomous field, this project also comprises computer-assisted translation, which has turned out to be an important tool for the tasks of translating and reviewing.
