This is the project page for the invite-only TED Summit workshop happening at Banff, Canada on 29 June.
Welcome to Wikipedia editing workshop! In this 90-minute session, Netha, Ayyappadas and Abhinav will run you through Wikipedia's guidelines and help you to write your first article. You can choose between creating a new article or playing with a mock article. Please find the list of articles below. Choose an article of your choice and start editing now!
To choose from the list of TED speakers who do not have an article about them yet, please click here. Those speakers who have their names italicized do not yet have a Wikipedia article of their own. If you'd instead like to create an article about someone/something of your choice, please talk with one of the facilitators to determine the notability of your subject.
If you are interested in translating an existing article from English Wikipedia to your language, please activate the Content Translation Tool from Beta. Please note that the tool works only if you have a Wikipedia account. Once you have activated the tool, click on 'Contributions' on the top right of this page and choose the 'Translation' feature. You will be prompted by the tool to create your article in the language of your choice.
