Mazhar_Mallouhi

Mallouhi is a significant figure in Muslim-Christian relations and the page should not be deleted simply because of lack of proper documentation. -Chicomatic (talk) 08:27, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Not done Having looked over the deleted versions of the article, there's virtually nothing there that could be reused; the grossly POV tone and lack of citations make it thoroughly unsuitable for Wikipedia. A better course of action would be to recreate the page from scratch, using reliable sources and neutral language. Yunshui  14:09, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Ziron

The page has been deleted several times, i'm pretty sure it passes the wikipedia criteria and is being deleted by those that have no knowledge in programming or programming languages, it was stated that it did not have notable sources, which were added, the following list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programming_languages is a list of programming languages which has many that have almost no notability which all remain, after trying to leave a response about the deletion, the comment was just deleted without an answer, this seems to be some admins abusing their rights without good reason to delete the article. -78.83.46.47 (talk) 14:30, 14 February 2013 (UTC)

Not done - As announced at the top of the page, this process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially and has no applicability to articles deleted after any deletion discussion. Andrew Payne

Article was speedily deleted under criteria A7: "Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject" but the article mentioned that Payne played senior cricket for Somerset. While the terminology is vague, the indicates that he meets WP:CRIN, and should certainly not have been speedily deleted. A reference was present in the article, albeit not an inline reference. -Harrias talk 17:02, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

In particular, Xpapax, do you know of any sources that firmly establish notability of this subject? Arbitrarily0 (talk) 02:28, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
It should be noted that this article has been suppressed, supposedly on WP:BLP grounds, but apparently actually because of fear that billionaire McMahan might sue the Wikimedia Foundation for reporting what has made press all over the world. A purported lack of notability is the feeble excuse on which this expurgation was hung, even though a google for his name will easily yield what is public record, as widely reported. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:26, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

File:Darrell Waltrip pitstop, Winner of 1983 Marty Robbins 420, Nashville, TN.jpg,

Since the photo was taken in 1983 it was film photography not digital. I know of no other way to transfer a photograph from 1983 other than to scan it. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. The site is clearly noteworthy. It is a major chess site, more relevant than other sites which have articles here.

Several news sources mention chess.com with a clear expectation the reader will understand what the site is. Therefore, it is notable enough for mention here.

Llandegfan Antelope FC

This article provides information regarding a football club which is part of the Welsh football pyramid. If this page is to be deleted, then surely pages concerning all other clubs in the pyramid should be considered for deletion? I don't see how this page differs from any other page concerning a Football Club. The Anglesey Football League, of which this Club forms part of, is of specific interest to football fans and this page provides information about one of the Clubs in that League. I was due to create pages providing information regarding the other Clubs in the League and this deletion has been a huge setback. Please bring the page back. -Sonaefc (talk) 10:46, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Scott Anderson was the Chief Test pilot for Cirrus. He was also the first person killed in one. And finally his crash has been used as evidence in a future civil lawsuit. Finally, it appears as though many of the PROD author's edits at the time of the PROD were not considered correct or acceptable. This article, though important, would not have been viewed by anyone within the 7 day PROD period (in order to object). -Jpperich (talk) 01:47, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

This is massively confusing and I am unclear how to request the undeletion of a page. There are too many complicated rules and procedures. I wish the page for Gibraltar Open Darts Tournament be reinstated. I cannot find the reason why it was deleted, or who by, it was being updated every year with the winners of that years' event, and I fail to understand the purpose of its deletion. How do I get it put back? Please help, Wikipedia is massively confusing for the layman.

There is no point telling me to contact the admin who deleted it as I have no idea who it was or how to find out.

Thank you.

Not done. Yes, it's a bit of a jungle, but there are human guides. If you click on the "redlink" above, you will see the deletion log entry which shows that it was deleted by user Addshore (talk) as a result of the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charlotte Open which covered a number of similar pages. If you think that discussion was wrongly decided, or you have more information, you should first ask Addshore; then, if not satisfied, you can go to WP:Deletion review. The reason for deletion is to do with Wikipedia:Notability, which is the criterion used to decide what shall be included. The test of notability is whether there has been "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" - have people independent of the subject thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about? JohnCD (talk) 23:18, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
FYI - this was also taken to WP:DRV where the instructions are admittedly complex. It was opened at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2013 February 18 in the middle of another discussion. The article was orginally deleted as the page was claimed to be "unremarkable" and did not contribute to Wikipedia as it did not contain as much information as was necessary. However, Jesse Quin & The Mets are however a well known band, with many famous members from very famous bands such as Keane, Mt Desoaltion and Mumford and Sons. Hello, I represent an artist named Alex Goot, owner and primary contributor to the very popular Youtube.com/Gootmusic channel. In addition to accumulating almost 1 million subscribers on YouTube, holding several top 100 spots on Worldwide channel ranking lists, Alex has helped to launch the careers of several other artists and groups whose wikipedia pages have been deemed relevant. Alex has also won an MTV award for his videos (see http://www.mtv.com/photos/o-music-awards/1662701/6080293/photo.jhtml#6080293 ) and was recently nominated for a Streamy award for best Original song (http://www.streamys.org/nominees-winners/3rd-annual-nominees/ ). Alex is constantly on the road, and sells out venues across the world. We'd like to request that Alexs Wikipedia page be restored, being included in Wikipedia is a point of pride for artists like alex, and we feel that we owe it to ourselves and to Alexs fans to get his page reinstated. K-Arrow Ranch

Deleted under wrong criteria and with no discussion. I created the initial revision of a history article less than 12 hours ago. This evening I log on to find that it got nominated for speedy deletion under some speedy deletion criteria about it being an article about a non-notable company or organization. I tried to contest via the talk page per instructions yet less than 2 minutes later the article is deleted. I don't think the deleting administrator even saw my rebuttal. It was not an article about a company or organization and did not fall under the speedy deletion criteria it was nominated for. It was a stub history article about a ranch in California with only the initial revision. I am only a part-time editor and do not spit out fully-formed articles in less than 12 hours. Gagan_Palrecha

this article is about a record producer that has produced and released some influential underground albums. It's a shame if the page gets permanently deleted. Perhaps the article needs to be updated to include the extent of the influential works, whcih I'd be happy to do once restored. -Gstarsf (talk) 20:52, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

I have verified a review of a CD of his music in BBC Music Magazine. Also past and scheduled performances of his music by a recognized musical group outside the UK. I will add references to these in the article if it is restored, and will attempt to track down the other excerpted reviews. -MorphismOfDoom (talk) 00:26, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

reasoning -Sduncan87 (talk) 20:26, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Carter is developing The Banks, which has a Wikipedia pagee with a link to Carter, which is a blank page. Also, the Georgia State Roadway and Toll Authority has selected Carter to begin negotiations for the relocations of the Amtrak and Greyhound stations, which is a closely followed story in the Southeast. View an article about it here. Please restore this page.

7 Photo Images from NZ Turnbull Library have been deleted. Do they violate copyright?

THis is more a question for WP:Media copyright questions. For the map of Fiji, this is not fair use, as it is replacable by a newly drawn map. For File:Meke iri-bitu.jpg there is a very good chance this is public domain, taken in 1881, but you would have to know Fiji or NZ copyright law, and whether this was published before. File:Meke Wau nakorovatu,1881.jpg also likely PD, File:14-L.jpg is certainly public domain as over 70 years passed since the death of the painter, even before US had URAA restrictions introduced. All the other images from 1881 or earlier are likely to be public domain. However they are not deleted so nothing to do here yet. Please check if they are public domain and relabel the images appropriately with correct licenses. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 09:24, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Timiskaming Square

Just because a mall for a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada; does not appear in Google News or Google Books, does not mean that the wiki page will not be able to help people looking into the area. Any tourist ( A major player in the town) would like to know whats going on in the mall, where it is, why its their and more. Also anyone from the area would like to know the history of said establishment. -Havidredden (talk) 19:56, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia is a venue for articles about subjects which are already notable. We are not a tourist guide for small malls, undiscovered restaurants, and the like; a subject must have already become notable enough to be described in books, magazines, newspapers, etc. in order to find a place here. We have nothing against the folks of Temiskaming Shores; but on a globe of 7-8 billion people, we can't cover everything and everybody. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:17, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Not done. Wikipedia is not a product listing directory. Articles need to show references to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources to establish WP:Notability; you should also read the guideline on WP:Conflict of interest. The title has been protected because of repeated re-creation: if you think you can show notability, you should contact the deleting administrator, user NawlinWiki (talk). Woolley Moor United F.C.

The article, though somewhat short, was well-written and relatively well-sourced. The reason for deletion was that the club is not notable enough to warrant its having a separate page. However, it would seem to me that Woolley Moor United F.C.'s having existed for more than a century does make it worthy of having a Wikipedia article or at least of not having said article deleted without a proper discussion. -188.125.142.180 (talk) 09:23, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Jeremy Nicholas (writer)

This page has been removed unilaterally by an internet vandal. Reasons given were that content was 'improperly sourced and could not be verified' - but all the content of the Wiki entry was checked against Jeremy Nicholas's own website (www.jeremynicholas.com), data on IMBd's website and other freely available sources. There was no promotional material in the content. This deletion is a misuse of Wiki's editorial guidance. -Orange Mike | Talk 15:29, 28 February 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicky Forton (talkcontribs) 15:12, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Neither the subject's own website nor the IMDb is considered a reliable source. Accusing another editor of being "an internet vandal" is not appropriate behavior, nor is it wise for someone requesting assistance from a group of volunteers. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:29, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

David Lory Vanderbeek

I user ghoyt98, request David_Lory_Vanderbeek wikipedia page to be restored, for the following reasons. David Lory Vanderbeek is a real person, and a politician. He is the candidate for governor of Nevada under the ticket of the Constitution Party in 2014 and he deserves to be on wikipedia. The article was delete by administrator -iNeverCry, that user dislikes David Lory Vanderbeek because of political reasons, which I think is wrong. So Wikipedia please restore it -Ghoyt98 (talk) 01:34, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about people. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. "went virtually unmentioned" is a clue that there are no reliable sources on the subject. Also the deletion was not "because of political reasons", but because of a lack of a claim of importance. If you can find reliable independent references you will be able to show notability. Linkedin, Wikipedia and YouTube are not reliable sources. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:22, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

"there is no real reason IMO to single out this one particular page (which is ONE of associated 13 album pages) for deletion" [Guy Manning] -GuyManning (talk) 09:02, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

  •  Not done First, it's not been deleted - its content is supposed to have been merged elsewhere and deleted, but it's not deleted yet. Second, wow ... WP:COI? Third, the article as it sits is barely anything but a track listing and shows no sign of individual notability. As such, merge was obviously correct - the existence of the album is not sufficient to create notability (✉→BWilkins←✎) 20:42, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Yeah WOW! COI? (these pages are about me and such I have a passing interest about the previous nonsense that was posted on the pages, hence my originally adding objective ONLY content to them to make them at least accurate) Why this one page though??...all the other 12 album pages are just the same...you cannot possibly merge all that info successfully onto one page IMO..so I suggest deleting the whole site about ME as none of it seems notable and certainly not by your very stringent standards ..and then there is the matter that having passed judgement, nobody actually has gone on to actually do anything about merging or the like [G Manning]!

Talk:AE Andromedae/workpage

does not qualify for G8 deletion, it is a subpage of a talkpage that has an article AE Andromedae, therefore it is not a talkpage of a nonexistant page. Otherwise, all talk archives could be deleted as they are also talk pages with redlinked subject pages. It is also properly referred to from the main talk page, as a subsidiary page, so is not unlinked or lost. -65.92.180.137 (talk) 14:20, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Gibraltar Open Darts

The Gibraltar Open Darts tournament page has been deleted for an unknown reason. I have no idea how to find out who deleted it or what to do about it. The wiki procedures are highly confusing to the novice and almost impossible to follow (we are advised to contact the admin that deleted the article, but are not told how to find out who it was) I am deeply upset that this article was deleted for no apparent reason but have no idea how to restore it. Please help in any way you can. I am confused by the whole wiki system -212.120.238.173 (talk) 20:16, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Not done. If you click on the "redlink" Gibraltar Open you will see the deletion log which shows you who deleted it (user J04n (talk)) and why (the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Colorado Open (darts), covering a number of similar articles). These were all nominated after a deletion review at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2013 February 18 because of procedural defects in the previous deletion nomination.
The reason for deletion is that these tournaments do not meet Wikipedia's inclusion criterion of WP:Notability which requires references that show "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." See WP:ANS for what that means. If you can show such coverage (of the event itself, not of people who participated), you should first approach J04n as the closing administrator; then, if your concerns are not addressed, you can go back to Deletion review. But unless you can show "significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources" you will be wasting your time. JohnCD (talk) 21:26, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

File:Boots.svg

The vector version of the Boots logo appears to have been removed from the article by mistake and deleted. It was the best version of the logo available, and was replaced by a grainy JPEG file. It was deleted under reason F5 as an unused non-free file. If restored it will be added back to the Boots UK article straight away. -Cloudbound (talk) 20:09, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
