The Wikimedia Foundation's annual fundraiser includes banner ads that some find annoying. While logged in, users can suppress the fundraising banner as follows.
- Log in or create a Wikipedia account
- Go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-centralnotice-banners (click the "Banners" tab if it is not already selected)
- Uncheck the option under the "Banner types to display" heading which reads "Fundraising"
- Click "Save" at the bottom of the page and refresh your browser
Users without editor accounts can use the Thank You page to suppress donation banners.
