Wikipedia:Keep it short and simple
Appearance
(Redirected from Wikipedia:Keep policies short)
This is an essay on Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
Apply the KISS principle: Keep rules and procedure pages simple and short, or else people will not read them, and may avoid the project. Similarly, try to keep the number of rules short, and avoid redundant pages when a single one may suffice. Likewise, prefer simple article coding so non-technical people can edit.
