Articles to be created
[edit]- PLEASE resist the temptation to start drafts now - wait until the evening of the editathon!
From MPs not standing for re-election, we know that at least 31 seats will have new MPs. Each constituency page on Wikipedia has a list of who is standing in 2017. Some of these will be safe Tory or Labour seats, so we can confidently predict who will be elected. Once we have the exit polling data at 10pm, we will have an even better idea of who some of these new MPs will be.
However, they won't be notable in Wikipedia terms until the constituency result is declared, but we can create an article draft.
For example, for Liverpool Walton, Steve Rotheram has stood down as he is now the mayor of Liverpool. In 2015, Labour won 81.3% of the vote. We can be confident that Labour's PPC, Dan Carden, will be elected, so we can start Draft:Dan Carden, and once the result is in, move it to mainspace.
