Metroid Prime
[edit]I'm nominating it because it fits the requirements. Isn't that what all noms are? Metroid Prime Hunters is going through FAC, but whether or not it passes won't matter. Additionally, Image:Lightning Bolt on Circle.svg.--haha169 (talk) 05:41, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Support per the Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow topic. Zginder 2009-01-28T05:52Z (UTC)
- haha, what a joke Nergaal (talk) 06:03, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose - per the no main article reasoning raised last time. I'm pretty sure Gary King is working on the whole Metroid series for a topic (not just the Prime series), so I think we should let him get on with that - rst20xx (talk) 12:18, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose Not an appropriate main article for the Prime series. And yes, I'm still working on the entire series topic. Gary King (talk) 16:10, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm wondering here. Metroid Prime in itself is a trilogy, is it not? "Metroid Prime is the first of the three part Prime storyline". But if that really isn't enough as a main series topic, then all right. I see the arguments covering over "Metroid Prime" not being a main article.--haha169 (talk) 16:31, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Featured topics/The Legend of Zelda titles uses The Legend of Zelda (series) as their main article. Perhaps you should do something along that line. NuclearWarfare (Talk) 17:27, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- If we did that, then we'd be obliged to use the entire Metroid series articles for this topic, which is comprised of one series article, ten game articles, one media list, and one character article, of which only three are FA, and three more are GA. This would automatically disqualify the topic from FTC status. Arrowned (talk) 18:55, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- ...but this is exactly the topic Gary is working on! (except, well, minus the media list/character article - it'd be a "titles" topic) rst20xx (talk) 19:09, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- No, I'm working on the entire series, including all the characters and media. It would suck if I was working on the topic, happened to finish the game articles first, and someone submitted those articles as a topic before I finished the entire series. Gary King (talk) 19:15, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Good luck on the media list, then. FLC is getting more difficult to pass then before. Anyway, if that did happen, then just submit a supplementary nomination, like the one below.--haha169 (talk) 23:13, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think Gary knows what he is getting into. ;) Dabomb87 (talk) 01:17, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, I'm pretty sure he does. I've seen him handle three (or four?) FACs once at the same time. Just giving a warning...the character list is in bad shape... --haha169 (talk) 07:41, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- Which character list are you referring to? Metroid (series) is the closest thing that comes close, and that's already a GA. Gary King (talk) 15:56, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I meant the media list. --haha169 (talk) 00:54, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

- Oppose. First game in the series can't really be a main article. Maybe if there was a "Metroid Prime series" article, but for now I think it would be better to wait and let Gary King finish the bigger Metroid topic. Tezkag72 05:02, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose per Gary. Best to have a true unifying article. --Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 16:31, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, why don't you just add Metroid (series) to the nomination? That would solve almost all of the opposition. There's really no reason to have a separate Metroid Prime series article at this point. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 07:39, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose - per Gary, there should be a main topic article.--TRUCO 18:09, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
- Close with no consensus to promote - rst20xx (talk) 15:42, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
