Asia is the world largest continent, but the article on its culture only has a few stubby paragraphs and a list of the cultures of countries in Asia.

Comments: Announcement: I've newly created an article stub for Cultures of the World, which people here may be interested in contributing to. I hope to use much more natural groupings where regions have unifying characteristics.--Culturesoftheworld 18:35, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- This article should be deleted. As I pointed out on the talk page, there is no such thing as "culture of Asia". There are only many many many many cultures on the Asian continent. This includes, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, former Soviet Republics, Afghanistan, India, China, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, etc. There is no essence or unifying thing about Asia. It's just going to be summaries of a whole bunch of other articles. Just because you COULD stuff it with meaningless summaries from elsewhere doesn't mean that this is a good idea for an article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.59.83.208 (talk • contribs)
- I would invite you to see my comments on the talk page of the article. Thanks. --Bhadani 16:08, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
- Comments are there. This article should be considered for deletion. In contrast, look at the Culture of Europe article, which is legitimate despite its diversity, due to the deliberate attempt at creating a unified Europe (EU for example, NATO, etc). There are no such institutions or concepts that are Asia-wide. If it is supposed to be just a summary article, I wonder why it should exist at all. Why should we group so many disparate parts together? What about a "Culture of the Southern Hemisphere" then? We could do an interesting summary of that too.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.59.83.208 (talk • contribs)
