Discussion
[edit]Pretty standard operations, approved for trial. Limit your edits to 2/3 per min, and limit your run to 200 edits. Report back here when trialing is done. When removing the category, try to leave a link to THE CFD in the edit summary, if renaming a category try to leave a link to everything, e.g. (Category:Old Cat-->Category:New Cat per Wikipedia:CFD/SubPage); it makes it a lot easier on someone checking up on it later. — xaosflux Talk 15:38, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- All right. Trial started. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 17:08, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- First category replace done, however I've done two errors in the edit summary, as you can see here: I've forgot to add
[[:Category:]]
to both of the two categories and I haven't checked that the link to the CFD discussion was cutted down due to character limitation (I tried to point at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_February_8#Category:American_constitutionalists). The next run ther won't be errors, I promise. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 17:28, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Attention. I've changed some thing in the request, so I'll wait for reapproval --> I wish to be able to use pywikipedia framework. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 18:34, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Attention (2). I've changed for the second (and last, I promise ;-) ) the approval request: Edit rate needed changed to 5; requested permission to Templates subst:'ing. Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 01:44, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- No problem. Feel free to continue with the trial, and to trial the template substitution. I would make the edits summaries for CFD changes as follows though:
replacing Category:Mario antagonists with Category:Mario characters per CFD using AWB.

170 edit so far. Tomorrow, if needed, I'll run the remainings. I've tried template removal (with AWB), category replace (with AWB), category remove (with pywikipedia). Is enough or do I need to test it more? Thanks and Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 03:48, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Trial run ended with 200 edits (the 2 more were manual edits on bot's user and talk page). Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 10:32, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Approved.. Stepping in here by request; I don't see anything in the trial that raises any concerns, I'm granting approval and setting the flag. Essjay (Talk) 12:11, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
