Cystocoleus is a genus of lichen in the monotypic family Cystocoleaceae.[1] Members of the genus are commonly called velvet lichens.[2][3]
It only contains one known species Cystocoleus ebeneus (Dillwyn) Thwaites (1849)[4]

- C. niger (Huds.) Har. (1890) = Cystocoleus ebeneus
- C. rupestris (Pers.) Rabenh. (1870) = Rhacodiopsis rupestris, Herpotrichiellaceae family
