Information icon Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Four-dimensional space, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DVdm (talk) 21:22, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How do I provide a source for this? It's just simple logic, I didn't even learn it from somewhere else. Z53 INCOMING (talk) 21:57, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi and welcome. You might find it useful to read the policy on original research. The information in articles should summarize what reliable sources say about a topic, and we cite our sources so readers can verify the information. Hope that helps! You're missing my point. My edit explains itself, and doesn't need a source. If the point is so that "readers can verify the information" I've already done that. I wouldn't even call it "my own original research" as its far too simple to be that. Again, it's not based off of facts from the real world, its purely logical and therefore easy to understand as true and why. Can you please add my edit back? Z53 INCOMING (talk) 22:25, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You could start a discussion at Talk:Four-dimensional space and see if you get consensus from editors involved in that article that the content is self-evident and doesn't need a source. Schazjmd (talk) 22:34, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, how do I do that? Like how do I link my edit and stuff Z53 INCOMING (talk) 22:50, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Go to that talk page, click New section. Give the discussion a heading (the Subject line), then put your comment in the big text box. Sign it with four tildes (~~~~). Basically, just like you're posting here, except that you're starting a new thread. You can link to your edit so that other editors know what you're discussing.[1] <--link to your edit Schazjmd (talk) 22:57, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
