If they are inadequate or obsolete can you provide up-to-date maps about the Israeli Railways network.

P.S.: I hope your removal of the two maps, has nothing to do with Israel's 1967 borders shown in those two maps.

First of all I state that I am not a member or in any way related to this "consortium." Now, I must admit that I do not quite fully understand what standards you are using of editing this page into a lesser state. Let me illustrate a few examples: In your revision of "as of 17:11, 29 September 2009", you added/reversed: "In 2001, the group expanded into the U.S. with an academic non-profit corporation with 501(c)3 tax-deductible status with the IRS.}}" Then you proceed to mark this as an advertisement. I am not sure as to what your motivations are, but you first resubmit an advertisement, namely the 501 status, which I marked earlier had been added by Brian T Becker (23:34, 29 November 2008). Mr. Becker is himself a member of the Jerusalem School. No wonder that he placed an advertisement, which you resubmitted.

Number two: in your last edit you left the sentence "Volume Two is currently in the works and entitled: The Linguistic Environment of the Second Temple Period: Jerusalem Studies in the Synoptic Gospels — Volume Two, edited by Randall Buth, R. Steven Notley, and Marc Turnage." --Now I am not willing to retrace who put this there, but likely also a member of this consortium, since WHO ELSE would know about this? I am not aware of such information published anywhere else.

To summarize, I think you in the past correctly labeled it as an advertisement-natured article. However the last time you yourself helped the article to become "advertisement-natured." Labelling it then as advertisement seems to be awkward! So far my comments about the advertisement part.

Methodology/Publications/Reviews I do not see the point of removing any of these topics. All of these topics supported by academic publications, give the reader the background information on this "consortium." A list of names, where you turned it into, indeed sounds like an advertisement. The response in academic journals to this "consortium" is not only valid background information that gives substance to the entry, it also authenticates the very existence of this entry. Namely, the "consortium" is known and accepted in the international academic community.

Neither review is done by a member or prominent or related individual to the school. Michael Brown comes from a conservative Christian point of view. Collins is a widely known and respected NT scholar, who is not affiliated with the JSSR.

Well, not on a locality, exactly, but....I use the Adrew Petersen (2002) on architecture all the time...,now, he often quotes a book by Mayer, Pinkerfeld, and Yadin, Y. from 1950, ...you can see the whole ref. under "bibliography": Wikipedia:WikiProject Palestine/Mausoleum of Abu Huraira

Now, I understand that "Mayer" is the guy who gave name to the L. A. Mayer Institute for Islamic Art (He really should have his own article; hint, hint!) ...what I wondered is: is the "Yadin, Y." of the 1950-book the same as Yigael Yadin? Do you have any idea? I'm posting this here and on article talk. You turned up to revert for Jaakobou, because otherwise he would have violated 3RR. You've not edited this article since 2008 (and then only twice), and you hadn't edited WP since yesterday. Yet suddenly here you are, reverting, and adding sources that don't support what you say. "Militiamen" does not mean "policemen," and neither of the articles mentioned policemen fighting or a day of protest. In particular, I would appreciate an explanation of your use of the phrase "inherent POV". Possibly, you meant the current version of the article was deeply biased? Is that what you meant? Forgive me for being pedantic, that wouldn't be an "inherent" bias. What our deletion policies, and other policies, guidelines -- even essays like the WP:Coatrack essay recommend is that the biased section of articles be re-written, or marked for rewrite. Passages that lapse from neutrality are not supposed to trigger nominations for deletion. I know some people think topics themselves can be "inherently POV". But I don't see how that view can be supportable. Some topics are controversial. Some topics are very controversial. But just because a topic is controversial does not mean we can't write a respectable, neutral article about that topic. All that is necessary is following our core policies and procedures. What is necessary is to make sure we have good, authoritative, verifiable references, and that we cite those references, quote those references, paraphrase those references, and summarize those references in a fair, neutral manner.

If you re-read WP:Coatrack I think you will find that it does not recommend deletion as a response to a coatrack concern. Also, please note it is not a policy. It is one of essays that have been boldly moved into the wikipedia name-space and that are frequently cited as if they were policies. The essay does make some interesting points. But, sorry, in my experience 90 percent of those who call upon its authority ignore its recommendations. Part of the responsibility of the closing administrator is to weigh the arguments offered, and discount those that are counter-policy. Should the closing administrator have counted the all the opinions of those who claimed the article should be deleted based on the authority of coatrack? I don't think so. But, if the closing administrator thought they should I believe they absolutely had an obligation to say why they considered calls to the authority of coatrack as if it were a policy, when it is not a policy.

Jewish colonies

Deleted article MOdi'in AFC

The article I put up on Modi'in AFC has been deleted by User:Number_57 I think based on a lack of notability. You confirmed the page. Modi'in, a major Israeli city as you know, has no other soccer team, and while we are an ameuter team, we are no less notable than the baseball team that has survived his knife. Citation to Official Site re Israel Prize awards

Ynhockey. As you may be aware, in the case of all articles on Israel Prize recipients, I have included a reference citing the page on the Israel Prize official site giving details of the award (including, for more recent recipients, the recipient’s CV and judges’ rationale which also appears on the official site from 2000). However, I am concerned that should the official site be reorganized, all these citation could be lost. Accordingly, I decided to try providing a reference that cites both the Official Site and an archived version using [[WebCite], see Joseph Klausner. WikiCup 2010 January newsletter

We are half way through round one of the WikiCup. We've had some shakeups regarding late entries, flag changes and early dropouts, but the competition is now established- there will be no more flag changes or new competitors. Congratulations to Sasata (submissions), our current leader, who, at the time of writing, has more listed points than Hunter Kahn (submissions) and TonyTheTiger (submissions) (second and third place respectively) combined. A special well done also goes to Fetchcomms (submissions)- his artcle Jewel Box (St. Louis, Missouri) was the first content to score points in the competition.

Around half of competitors are yet to score. Please remember to submit content soon after it is promoted, so that the judges are able to review entries. 64 of the 149 current competitors will advance to round 2- if you currently have no points, do not worry, as over half of the current top 64 have under 50 points. Everyone needs to get their entries in now to guarantee their places in round 2! If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. Operation Avak

Hi Ynhockey, congradulations on another fine article. I do have one issue with it though. "For this purpose, the Ekron Airfield, previously a small landing strip, was refitted and expanded, officially opening on August 17." Are you sure about this? Ekron was formerly RAF Aqir, a major RAF station in Palestine. It was no small landing strip.
