Could you please clarify your recent edits to Kuril Islands dispute and discuss them at Talk:Kuril Islands dispute? (I left a more detailed comment at Talk:Kuril Islands dispute). It is also customary on Wikipedia to give an edit summary of your edits, so that other editors can understand better what is going on. I hope that you will provide such edit summaries in the future. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 15:36, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Further to the above, I have reverted your good faith edit, "However, the Soviet Union choose not to be a signatory to the San Francisco Treaty, inasmuch as the Treaty do not define belonging of Kuril Islands and Sakhalin." partly because unfortunately it does not make sense in English, particularly this part, "inasmuch as the Treaty do not define belonging of...." Also you are adding the content unsourced. Also "choose" is present tense not past tense and the Soviet Union no longer exists so cannot choose to do anything. It would help if you both provide an edit summary as requested above and provide a source for content. Thank you. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 15:49, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet operations on the Eastern Front

[edit]

I saw you linking the Russian site to the List of military operations on the Eastern Front of World War II, and thought you may be interested to know they are listed here Strategic operations of the Red Army in World War II. I just have not been able to merge the two for a variety of reasons--mrg3105 (comms) ♠05:24, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thx, i not saw this article, i'll correct + interwiki. but... i suppose what is necessary exclude word "Strategic". how do u think? // Wilderr (talk) 06:07, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The article started as a description of strategic operations, but I later decided to incorporate the components of these for a full overview. The strategic operations are so called in the Soviet sources, and in the more recently published English sources--mrg3105 (comms) ♠06:36, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
