Advertising?
[edit]Dear Whispering, I am Princess Janay, and I am the author of the FlyFusion article which you deemed as advertising. Please understand that it is not advertising, and I can prove it. My article states that there are problems with the FlyFusion. I listed that the pen's software isn't compatible with the original pen, and this pen and its software has caused the other pen and its software not to sell I(which makes me mad, because I own the original pen). I am not advertising. Why should I? I am not part of this company; in fact, I own a FlyFusionas well as the FLY 1.0, which should tell you that I am too young to be part of any company. Also, have you checked the Fly (pentop computer) article? Why have you not deemed that article as advertising, too? That article was doing the same thing that I am doing-- describing one of my favorite things. So, if you can tell me what I can do to stop this article from being advertising, please tell me. As a first, I'll remove the item's price.
Sincerely,
--Princess Janay (talk) 23:41, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
p.s. thankyou for looking at my article! i didn't think any one had read it yet!

speedy deletion
[edit]Hi,
Please pardon my intrusion on your time, but I'm taking you up on sending you a message about the speedy deletion of "Allegro Consultants".
I'm curious, even after reading the page on "notability" criteria, I'm not sure whether or not our company (Allegro Consultants) would qualify.
For secondary sources, we've been cited/referred-to/reported-on in various papers, awards, and magazines (including during the period when our two principals were being tried for hacking by HP :) (Does court reporting count as a secondary source? :)
Technical: We're the first company to create a PA-RISC compiler outside of HP (yawn for most people :), and we invented online backup of databases and incremental whole disk backup back in the 1970s ... but in a very small pond (HP 3000 computer community) (and no patents...we don't believe in software patents).
I apologize for not providing secondary sources ... and for writing the article at all (I'd overlooked the guideline that people involved in the company shouldn't do that). It was written at the request of some users who wanted to be able to point to it for their own obscure reasons :)
thanks!

Please don't undo the remove of Bawls as a citrus soda drink. As I pointed out in my edit summary, even the article does not indicated that it is a citrus soda drink but that it is a energy drink with no mention of citrus fruit. Spshu (talk) 20:37, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Youre welcome. I think some more of the links could go, but that's what I felt comfortable defending in the even of a revert war. Montco (talk) 16:48, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for undoing your revert of me. I notice the edit summary says my edit was 'identified as vandalism' -- I just want to check that the tool you used didn't put a black mark against my name somewhere as a vandal. Thanks, Doops | talk 15:52, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]That was a text posted at the Mongolian Wiki today. But I deleted it, because it was a mere advertisement material for computer software. You may do so in the English Wiki. --GenuineMongol (talk) 07:56, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Looks like they've all been fixed. Sorry I took so long responding, your message came in the middle of a string of severe vandalism and I forgot about it until this morning. Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:12, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Re:CSD
[edit]That's a tricky question...
If the resume article doesn't have assert anything particularly notable, you can tag it under WP:CSD#A7. Alternately, a true resume could also constitute blatant advertising under WP:CSD#G11. As most resume articles will make some effort to suggest the person has done something "important", G11 is probably more likely. However, when in doubt, PROD is usually the best course. For example, I'd say Lawrence Ryckman is very close to the G11 line, and I suspect a fair portion of admins would CSD delete it as such. It really needs a complete rewrite to be encyclopedic. At the same time, this guy looks sufficiently notable, so my inclination would be to PROD it. Seems worth five days to see if the author or someone else wants to put in the effort to fix it. I think you made the right call on this particular one.--Kubigula (talk) 04:54, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Roly Poly (album)
[edit]Hello, I apologize for posting re: a prod/deletion (seeing your notice @ top of this page), but the article is already long gone. Please see the deletion review page for September 30 for my reply. It most certainly involves improving the related articles, assuming the admins undelete it and allow me to do so. I will be happy to add more detailed information.. That's why I stubbed it in the first place. :) Also, I hope I did this deletion-review process properly. It is somewhat confusing.

Curious about deletion
[edit]I was just curious about the quick deletion of the Azul Claro Numazu page
I was unsure why this page would be deleted if it is almost a rough translation of the Team page in Japanese.
Also similar teams in the league have English as well as Wikipedia pages.
Finally the significance would be that this club/team will soon be a part of the new division of the Japanese professional soccer league.
I would like to thank you for you review and understand the necessity of weeding out unneccesary item. And thank you for your note directing me to appropriate help sections
