I don't understand the speedy deletion. I am trying to put up a page and Wikipedia is SO very confusing. The page is of Rodney T. Williams Jr Professional Basketball. There is another page of Rodney Williams Basketball. They are two different people. Im only working with Rodney T. Williams Jr. Professional Basketball. Please help me with...

First of all, if you are "working with" Rodney T. Williams, you should take a look at the Terms of Use and make sure you comply with the disclosure requirements set out in the section on "Paid editing without disclosure".

Secondly, Wikipedia content should be a summary of what reliable independent sources have reported about the subject. Your draft cites no such sources, thus giving no indication that "your" Rodney T. Just to clarify. You are saying that there are no reliable sources? I am his mother and his website has all of the reliable sources including videos. I have placed that link on the page. The overseas basketball are professional leagues in Italy and Germany in which he was paid. Everything in the page I've written in Wikipedia is true. I sited an article in which he was honored alongside Russell Westbrook in high school. That is a newspaper article that I placed a link. He also played with Brandon Jennings and Patrick Christopher in high school (who are professional players). Rodney also was an unrestricted free agent in the NBA D-league as stated. I can not upload his signing letter and information at that time. that is too confidential. He was not placed on a team. Just became an unrestricted free agent in 2011-2012. He was one of the power players with Brandon Jennings and Patrick Christopher at powerhouse Dominguez high with noted power coach Otis in high school. What other information do I need to upload that is not there? His website listed has verifiable videos and information. There are several professional overseas players on Wikipedia. I just wanted him to also be added also since he has gone professional and has done quite a bit. Can you tell me exactly what kind of articles I need to upload besides what I already have? Thank you. Okay, so there are two issues with the article you created about Williams. First, and most important, is that he did not meet the criteria for professional basketball players, which we call NHOOPS. Basically, players need to have played for a top-tier team, been drafted in the NBA, or had a significant career in something like the D-League.

Second were the references. Simple stats pages are fine for verifying information, but Wikipedia requires significant coverage in multiple, independent, reliable sources. The coverage you provided was little more than generic "player X was traded to team Y" coverage, and his high school career doesn't really factor into that.

Combining these two issues, you ended up with an article that wasn't suitable for Wikipedia per the Golden Rule. Thus, it was deleted. Unless Williams starts playing in top-tier teams, he simply doesn't meet our criteria for inclusion. Primefac (talk) 00:09, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is still a copy at Draft:Rodney Williams Jr (Basketball). However, even when Williams does make it into a top league, the draft will need a major overhaul, amounting to a complete rewriting, to bring it in line with what independent sources have to say about him.
