I just nominated this article you created to go on the main page in the Did you know? section. Thank you for getting an article on an interesting, not unimportant topic off to a good start, and happy editing! In the future, you can nominate any articles that meet the criteria yourself, if you choose. —innotata 22:45, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the nomination, I certainly hope the article is improved. I assume that any more reading materials would be in Russian unfortunately. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 00:23, 24 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi, there's one issue that needs to be resolved. Can you specify which source you used for the sentence "While waiting for supplies, relations with neighboring Dena'ina soured with skirmishes and raids killing seven LLC employees."? Other than that, the article is ready to go on the main page. —innotata 23:59, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

That would be found in the article on the LLC company by Solovjova and Vovnyanko. I was hoping to have one of the three works they cite by now, as I didn't wish to over use their work for the page. I'll update the article to include the citation though. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 05:11, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

Aliaska from Аляска

Heya Kmoksy, this isn't intended to be a hostile message or anything. Thank you mightily for the article cleaning, but the quoted source specifically refers to "Aliaska", please do not alter this spelling. Cheers! Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 00:21, 24 October 2014 (UTC)

Ok, you are right. But, the spelling "Aliaska" (also Alyeska) is transcribed variation from Russian "Alyaska" (Аляска). Voltaire's Vaquero, thanks for your Alaskan pages. --Kmoksy (talk) 06:45, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
The only reason I am being an arse about it is because the source in question is a translation from Russian, yet has [sic] by the improper transliteration of Аляска. I don't know if the Russian book or its source material has the word misspelled, but the error didn't appear after being put into English. A confounding issue, no doubt. Archiving

Hi, have you considered archiving your page instead of blanking it? You're free to do whatever you want of course, but it looks friendlier and its easier for other editors to follow discussions if you archive the substantive ones. No need to archive 'bot notices, of course. Cheers, Valfontis (talk) 18:42, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

Your experience with Wikipedia so far

Hello Voltaire's Vaquero,

I am conducting research about newcomers to Wikipedia and I was hoping to ask you some questions. I’ve noticed you’ve had some good activity recently. Is there any chance you have time in the next month to speak with me? If you are interested or have any questions, please email me at gmugar [at] syr.edu or leave a message on my talk page.

I hope to be in touch soon,

Gabrielm199 (talk) 04:26, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

Sure thing, shot ya an email. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 07:50, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for you work on this. Could you take a look at Paiute#Historic Northern Paiute bands and see what needs to be done with that information? Valfontis (talk) 19:33, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

Where is the source for the autonyms? They seem fascinating! As for the information about the Yahuskin, I'd say it could be merged over to the Klamath article. I'd love to have a break down of particular bands, but I haven't read anything about particular divisions of the Klamath cultural group outside the Yahuskin correction. I'll see what I can find in the mean time. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 20:03, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

DeSmet info added to History of Montana Suggestion

Thanks for adding the brief info on DeSmet. Any chance you could add a reference for the info as well. There are no refs in the paragraph so including one for your info would be very helpful.KingJeff1970 (talk) 22:32, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

The source I used is written by DeSmet himself. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 13:59, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pacific Fur Company, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page South Pass. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Incomplete sentence in Dentalium shell article

Hello! I noticed an incomplete sentence in the Dentalium shell article, which seemed to be added by your last edit to it, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dentalium_shell&diff=640372827&oldid=640372483 . It was a few years ago, but if anyone knew what you were trying to say there, I figured it'd be you!

Hello there. I never did bother to really expand the article so good catch. I'll do so starting tomorrow when I have some time. Voltaire's Vaquero (talk) 04:29, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
