Though it is stated in the article that the film is lost due to no print having survived, this should explain something. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:03, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Kailash29792: What's your definition of a lost film? —Vensatry (ping) 17:12, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- To me, a lost film should mean one that is no longer available in any form, be it print, CD or online video. Even most of Balu Mahendra's films like Moodu Pani and Moondram Pirai are lost on print, but I have seen them on YouTube, which does not make them qualify as lost films. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:20, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- Forget about YouTube, they are aired on TV. S. Ramakrishnan on his personal webpage says no original/negative of ONNP is in existence. —Vensatry (ping) 17:27, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

TFL notification
Hi, Vensatry. I'm just posting to let you know that National Film Award for Best Actress – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for October 2. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 02:42, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
- As an addendum, List of international cricket centuries by Shivnarine Chanderpaul has been scheduled for October 5 here. Giants2008 (Talk) 21:17, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
A newly created list. I figured that other grounds have separate lists (Brabourne being the first for India), why not also include our very own Chepauk. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:33, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- Good work, looks like a potential candidate for FLC! —Vensatry (ping) 11:42, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- Shall I nominate it now? BTW, the wickets column needs sorting, which I don't know how to do. Can you help me with that? — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:47, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- Haven't really gone though the list fully. You may nominate it now if you want. As for the wickets column, sure, but after sometime. —Vensatry (ping) 11:52, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- Shall I nominate it now? BTW, the wickets column needs sorting, which I don't know how to do. Can you help me with that? — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:47, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
Feel free to leave comments at the list's FLC page. BTW, List of accolades received by Enthiran and List of accolades received by Aadukalam are promoted. My first FL successes! — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:20, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
- The Chepauk list is on my watchlist! Will review it over the weekend. And, congrats for the twin-FL success. :) —Vensatry (ping) 11:23, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! Chinnaswamy has also been nominated BTW. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:31, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
- Are you not aware of the condition regarding the addition of a second nomination? Why be in a hurry when the first one is yet to be reviewed? —Vensatry (ping) 11:51, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! Chinnaswamy has also been nominated BTW. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:31, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
Chepauk's list has two supports from FrB.TG and NapHit. The Rambling Man considers his comments resolved. Do let me know if you would like to make any comments for this and also for Chinnaswamy at their FLC pages. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 07:44, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Just a gentle reminder on the FLC. BTW, it would be grateful if you could help me with the sorting as I don't quite know how to go about the process. Thanks. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 05:51, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Ssven2: What do you find difficult? —Vensatry (ping) 06:44, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Walking out
In the recent past, here are a few cases.
- I know you guys mean well, but I really cannot get back into this vicious cycle again. The encyclopedia will function better without hypocrite twats like me. The bad guys always lose at the end, right? So, yes, I have lost — Krimuk90, a retired Wikipedian.
- I think the time is going to come by the end of the year that I really will no longer be able to commit much time to wikipedia. It's a time sink, and with the current attitude towards editors on here, pretty unreasonable. — Dr. Blofeld, a "less active than previously" Wkipedian.
- I know I haven't done anything good for Wikipedia. Once my two pending GA nominations - Friends with Benefits (film) and Jacqueline Fernandez - and my FL nomination - Lady Gaga videography - are closed, I am going to go. Goodbye, shalom, khuda hafiz! — FrB.TG, a "going to retire" Wikipedian.
- I am getting sick and i think i will too soon leave here — Krish!, another frustrated one.
Do you think it is something noticeable? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 11:47, 10 September 2015 (UTC)
- But one thing is certain: I will not quit until I see at least one FA in every decade of Tamil cinema. 3 down (Gemini 2002, Chandralekha 1948 and Enthiran 2010), one currently FAC (Kalidas 1931). Kailash29792 (talk) 15:09, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Infobox disputes
It has been agreed that there is to be no infobox for the Steiger article. The discussion is closed. That initial discussion is really a part of the RFC. Turning up now and voting "support" and reigniting the infobox war while the FAC is going on is disruptive, as is citing pompous "rules" as to why it's acceptable.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:20, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not interested in the dispute whatsoever, but his comment was not added to the Rfc. Removing others comments without proper explanation seemed like a gross talk page violation to me. —Vensatry (ping) 09:29, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
- The infobox discussion/RC was all part of the same thing. Iridescent closed it. To have somebody turn up now voting "support" is just pure trouble making while the FAC is going on. If he had simply commented "I think we should have an infobox" I'd not have removed it, it was only because it was a vote comment. I think given the circumstances it was perfectly justifiable given how many leach onto infobox discussions.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:19, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think he really "voted", but expressed his dissatisfaction over the closed Rfc. —Vensatry (ping) 16:49, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Here I was, all set to expand and source the released and reviewed film Komaali, and I realized the anon IP author duplicated (quite briefly) the existing film topic O Kadhal Kanmani (sigh). So I notified him and tagged it for WP:CSD#A10. Cheers, Schmidt, Michael Q. 04:40, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- @MichaelQSchmidt: Well, this one and Oh Kadhal Kanmani are two different films. Somebody seemed to have added OKK's refs. here, so is the confusion. —Vensatry (ping) 18:33, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- And with same language, director, cast, and crew? Okay. Possible with Indian films. Can you offer any evidence of this? A return of a properly sourced film article is possible. Schmidt, Michael Q. 22:37, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- And best I "found" was that the shorter title is simply "rumoured", and using nearly the same cast and crew (his favorites) the thing may begin filming next December.[1] Still somewhat TOO SOON. Schmidt, Michael Q. 22:46, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
- As far as the film is concerned, it's widely believed that Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan are to play the lead roles. The latter was the lead of Mani's latest film as well. As for the crew, nothing is finalised; A. R. Rahman, a recurring collaborator of Mani, is very likely to work on this film too. It's simply a case of WP:TOOSOON. —Vensatry (ping) 10:07, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
Regarding BIM
Bold text You are saying that BIM does not stay in same league as IIM-T. Please Know about legacy of BIM. BIM symbolises the University-Industrial linkage with BHEL, the first management institute in india would be housed inside an industrial giant. No other B-schools in the country has the opportunity to learn contemporary needs of the industry. BIM enjoys a unique symbiotic relationship with BHEL in terms of academic inputs and continuous industry exposure. BIM’s excellence over the years had led the former President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to choose BIM as an ideal training ground for DRDO Scientists. Thus BIM has emerged as one among the top Business Schools of the country. The university has a good library and sports facility. [1] [2] [3]

The following quote by Dr. M.D Athreya - renowned management consultant sums up the above relationship: The young men and women of BIM are keenly absorbing the unique benefits of a close association with BHEL.
Senior Executives of BHEL anchor courses particularly in the areas of Operations, Management and Systems. BIM conducts a number of Executive Development Programs for BHEL in the areas of Corporate Finance, Marketing and Organizational Behaviour. Students also take-up various projects offered by BHEL in different functional areas of management.

Dharmadhyaksha and Vivvt
Unless I'm missing something, and your comment about Dharmadhyaksha and Vivvt is one big in-joke, which seemed unlikely to me as it's included in the formers userpage under "WikiHates", "I hate Dharmadhyaksha and Vivvt for their sheer stupidity" is a really unacceptable statement to have on your user page and undoubtedly constitutes WP:POLEMIC. Please consider removing it, or at least justifying why it's there. Azealia911 talk 20:20, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Not that I'm suggesting that "tit for tat" is at all a valid argument, User:Dharmadhyaksha/sandbox2 is hardly a good faith page. Harrias talk 21:24, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- I did see that linked to "sheer stupidity" and was entirely confused as to what it even was, which lead me to ask Vensatry for an explanation / background of why they made the statement, could either of you explain what that sandbox's purpose is? Azealia911 talk 21:29, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Azealia911, believe it or not, I've been thinking to remove that part from my user page for the past couple of days. However, I don't think it's a gross violation of WP:POLEMIC – the root cause is clearly attributed to their on-wiki behaviour; it has nothing to do with anything outside WP. Assuming that you stalk Dharmadhyaksha, why didn't you flag them for their act at least until now after dropping in here? —Vensatry (ping)
- I've never really interacted with Dharmadhyaksha, and stumbled on their user page via my checking of WP:GAN#Songs, of which they have a new nomination. I was originally going to ping you both to my talk page as to AGF on both parties and not point the finger at anyone, but the sandbox linked under "sheer stupidity" didn't scream out any incivilities (can you actually explain what it is because I'm still at a loss as to what it means), and your statement seemed extremely harsh for something that read to me as harmless fun (again, I have no idea what that sandboxes purpose is, so if I'm barking up the wrong tree and I'm just not seeing that it's an attack page or other uncivil type of user page, please check me). Azealia911 talk 09:34, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- I suggest you better clarify this with the users who are involved in it. Further discussions over this topic is only going to make things worse. —Vensatry (ping) 10:37, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- I'm simply asking why you link the sandbox to "sheer stupidity", I imagine the answer I receive off the two users you speak of will not be the same answer you give me. Azealia911 talk 10:45, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- As Harrias pointed out it was hardly a good faith stuff. Calling others' contributions as "duh" doesn't seem civil at least to me. Even if I were to assume good faith, they should've included their own DYKs as well; they definitely deserve a place. —Vensatry (ping) 11:02, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

- Azealia911, believe it or not, I've been thinking to remove that part from my user page for the past couple of days. However, I don't think it's a gross violation of WP:POLEMIC – the root cause is clearly attributed to their on-wiki behaviour; it has nothing to do with anything outside WP.

Manorama
Finally, after the media killed her several times, Manorama left the world for real this time yesterday. What was your favourite performance/character of hers till date? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 03:47, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- RIP. I liked her performances in Visu's films. She was also good with S. Ve. Shekher. Apart from them, Thillana Mohanambal, Nadigan, Annamalai, and Singaravelan to name a few. —Vensatry (ping) 07:37, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- I haven't watched much of her works. But from the very few ones, i could understand her versatility. I loved her performance in Arundathi (2009) in the recent times. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:51, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- I too haven't watched any of her Telugu films although she must have done quite a number of films there. Long ago, saw her in a film with ANR. —Vensatry (ping) 16:17, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- Now both aren't alive and their last films (in Telugu) achieved cult status (Arundathi and Manam). Hope their souls rest in peace. Thanks for taking out sometime and replying. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 01:37, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Pavanjandhyala: You're welcome! BTW, can you review the underlying list which is at FLC? —Vensatry (ping) 14:05, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
Give me some time. I shall visit it soon.Done Pavanjandhyala (talk) 08:41, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

Civility
Hey Vensatry, just seen the recent exchange on here as I watch your talk page. I've warned Daan0001, but try to remain more civil with your edit summaries please. I know it is difficult when provoked, but it makes it far easier to take action if you don't react. Harrias talk 06:41, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
- If you look at his contribs, it's quite evident that he's a trouble maker. His edits over the last few few days mean that he doesn't have any other work than to stalk me. Thanks for your concern though! —Vensatry (ping) 06:48, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Regarding date correction
Hi Vensatry,
In an article Manorama, the date of death mentioned is 10 october, 2015, but according to Indian news outlets: http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/regional/legendary-tamil-actress-manorama-dies-at-78/ and http://www.ptinews.com/news/6601331_Legendary-Tamil-actress-Manorama-no-more.html reported death time is 12:05 AM IST, so technically the person died on 11 Oct, not on 10 Oct as mentioned in the wiki page, can you please look into this, as it may be a trivial issue, but here is difference of date. I tried to change it, but it got reverted. If you feel it is not an issue, then kindly ignore this query.
Thanks,
Work2win (talk) 17:07, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Work2win: You're right! But since the sources are contradicting it's difficult to arrive at a conclusion. I've clarified that in the article. —Vensatry (ping) 06:31, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
Well one small request, i am from North and haven't watched any movie of Manorama except Kunwara Baap, can you please update on any one of her classic movie in which she played a lead role which i can watch.
Thanks Work2win (talk) 09:27, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
- I can hardly think of films in which she played the "heroine"; she was a comedienne who switched to character roles after the 90s. As the article says, Konjum Kumari is one film which you might want to watch. —Vensatry (ping) 09:36, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
Hey bro, I've so far received three supports for MAC's FLC. PresN has pinged you and TRM. To repeat my quote of P. S. Veerappa, "Vensatry, Enna Mudivu Seidhirukkiraai?" — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 04:16, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
